Animal Welfare

Marwell Zoo

There are over 200 species of animals at Marwell Zoological Park, from tiny ants to the tallest giraffe, set in 100 acres of beautiful Hampshire parkland. Marwell aims to support and promote conservation of the natural world through the presentation and breeding of threatened species, and by stimulating awareness and understanding of animals and their habitats.  Volunteers are people who have an interest in conservation, wildlife and the environment, enjoy meeting people, are flexible and willing to try new duties and can spare some time on a regular basis. Volunteering opportunities include educational duties, train commentary, visitor information, and face-painting! Full training is given to volunteers where needed.
