Oxfam Music Store
The Oxfam Music Store in Portswood is part of the Oxfam Trading Network which source and sell donated goods and Fair Trade products to raise money to fight poverty and suffering around the world. Voluntary opportunities include: Retail Assistant; Volunteer Driver (to collect goods); Training supervisor to new volunteers; training given.
The Oxfam Furniture Store in Shirley also seeks volunteers. Duties include serving customers, and helping them choose furniture, answering telephone enquiries, sorting, cleaning and displaying Bric-a- Brac and keeping the shop neat and tidy.
PDSA
PDSA is the UK's leading veterinary charity, caring for the pets of people in need. They provide free veterinary treatment to more than 4,650 sick and injured animals each day and promote responsible pet ownership.
Volunteers are needed to assist in the charity shops in Portswood and Shirley, assisting in all aspects of the shop operations.
SUSU Raise and Give (RAG)
SUSU RAG is the Students' Union own fundraising society, and carries out a wide range of events and activities throughout the year to raise money for selected charities.
You can get involved in RAG in many different ways, from being a committee member, to helping run events, participating in the annual charity fashion show, and helping to collect money on RAG raids. Trips to Amsterdam and Newquay (all for charity!) have been highlights of previous years.

The Wayne Howard Trust
The initial objective of the Trust is to give advice and support to acquired brain injured patients and their relatives, with the ultimate objective of setting up a specialist rehabilitation centre in this country. Volunteers are needed to assist with fundraising and to help run the charity shop in Shirley.
