Age Concern

Age Concern Southampton is a small local charity providing support and services to older people, and those that care for them. Volunteers of all ages, and from all walks of life are required to help with services such as gardening, befriending, computer sessions and much more.

SCA Community Care

This support and well being service collects people from their homes in adapted vehicles and brings them to a number of centres based around Southampton. Here, they receive advice, support, entertainment, a nutritious meal and the opportunity to get out of their house and meet new and old friends.
There is no driving involved as most of the voluntary support is provided within the centres. There are also occassional outings and the emphasis is on providing an enjoyable day that offers real benefits to the older peoples' sense of well being.
PLEASE NOTE THAT SCA COMMUNITY CARE IS A SEPERATE ORGANISATION TO STUDENT COMMUNITY ACTION (SCA)

Enter the Union by the main entrance and take the stairs in front of you to the bottom. Turn right through two sets of doors, and turn right again down a further set of stairs, at the bottom of which you should turn left, and walk along the corridor untill you see us signed on the right hand side.
